I wasted so much time only to get denied. Not only that, but I am a graduate student who can give an honest and objective opinion on Gemini Pro for students if only I could have my documents validated.
Since I cannot use Gemini Pro, I can only give my opinion on ChatGPT. This is so sad and such an embarrassment for Google.

As an active duty U.S. Marine currently serving overseas under official orders and extensions, I've had an incredibly frustrating and disappointing experience with SheerID.
I submitted official Marine Corps orders and two formal enlistment extensions, all clearly dated and valid through October 2025. Despite this, SheerID rejected my documents five separate times, falsely claiming my orders were expired. Each time, I resubmitted the exact official paperwork showing a clear and continuous timeline of service. Still denied.
This is just as annoying as it is insulting. Their system either lacks the capability to read and understand basic military documentation, or they simply don't care. Their support team has been slow at best, offering resolutions in days with no ability to speak to a human directly, a complete failure to provide proper verification support to service members.
Shameful and unacceptable. SheerID should not be trusted as a reliable verification provider for military members.

I'm currently deployed overseas and attempting to activate my Google Fi eSIM that I paid for. Unfortunately, they don't tell you until you swipe your card that the thing can only be activated within America unless you're deployed military.
Lucky me, I thought, as I got a copy of my NATO orders and highlighted all the information needed from me. However, no matter what I did, they wouldn't accept my document. Out of frustration, I kept resubmitting the document, hoping some way, somehow someone would see my orders and allow me to use my eSIM. But not only did they not accept it, they stopped me from submitting documents!
No big deal, I thought, I'll just email their 24/7 customer support and hopefully they can help me out. So I did, and they told me it'll be a wait of 3-5 days until I get a response. We're creeping up on 8 days now, and still nothing from them, even after additional information was added to the email. I have been left stranded with zero service, having to rely on very spotty public Wi-Fi to do any type of communication with not only my family but with the rest of my team.
The lack of urgency from the support team has put me in an insanely uncomfortable position and, more likely than not, I'm going to have to waste more money to get a fix. I'm beyond dissatisfied.

I called Social Security, and they told me that I was sending the correct document. When cant these people see that!
The same document worked for my Internet Service. And all Utilities. I used this document last year for walmart plus assist and it worked but this year they have 5 year old kids working. Just like in the stores.
No compassion for anybody. That why Amazon has millions of more members!

Bad incomplete experience

Going through the military exchange to get simple Tee time that a third party vender is in the Exchange marketplace. So this third party vender uses another third-party vender as their go to to verify eligibility.
Doesn't make sense since i was already on a verified site. Turns out this company is SheerID and they actually want more information thats should be required and you are not allowed to verify unless you sign up for their marketing plan and agree to get their supplied advertising.
There is no option and no opt out. So why does a military site allow a third party to scam military personal information and force everyone into accepting a marketing plan to spam our email and possibly phoning us with buy their junk BS

- - No employment letters; paystub lists city, not district.
SheerID is the absolute worst. Ive tried multiple times to verify that Im a teacher and they keep denying every document I upload.
My district does not send out letters of employment and theyre under the city so my paystub says the city on it instead of the school district. I uploaded a letter on district letterhead that was addressed to me from HR and they denied it.
This is ridiculous. Its only a 10% discount but it makes a difference for me.
Preferred solution: I would like my teacher status to be verified so I can use the discount.

Company fixed the issue and I have been provided with apology. My documents were genuine, if their program were interfaces properly with our phones, this would not have happened.
Before you go public with verifying people, make sure that the screenshot uploading program is working properly. Currently, it is not; I cannot do anything after tagging two screenshots for uploading, as it simply sends me back to 'Add Documents'.
Due to this, I can't take advantage of Walmart's Assist+ program.
For reference, my phone is the Samsung Galaxy S24, so the operating system is compatible with the rest of the world. Please fix this issue!

Trying to get my discount

Trying to get a discount through SheerID, absolute joke. Submitted an ID badge and a medical license and they denied it.
My dad submitted his military credentials and they shockingly approved it, but the code they sent didn't work and nobody ever responded when I emailed to complain. Worst company!

SheerID never fails to simply not allow verification of military families. They tell businesses that they have a verification system set up, but it's simply false.
Every time we have to use SheerID (versus GovX, ID.me, etc.), it's just a complete failure. We really wish businesses would stop utilizing them because their verification is meaningless.
